RNC Donations Down

Ok, this could be for several different reasons, but I am going to go ahead and assume this has to do with the immigration debacle. It dosen’t surprise me if Bush is tone-deaf on this, but what about everybody else, except maybe Tancredo? They seem to be in denial about any blowback on this issue. So what is going on? Are they the Elitists we fear they are? That’s a big possibility. Are they that clueless about what the base wants? I doubt it, they know damn well the issues important to conservatives. Are they slaves to big business money? Also a possibility, but all the money in the world won’t matter if they can’t get elected. It’s just baffling to me that a party already on the ropes would go out of it’s way to piss off the people that put them in power, to favor people that will never vote for them. Perhaps republicans see the writing on the wall, and are begining a merge to a one-party system. I don’t know how else to explain it.
