This Is Why People Are Against Gay Marriage

Posted by bmac on June 6, 2008

Lesbians upset because they were asked to stop “making out” at a Seattle Mariners game.

Most of the time, a kiss is just a kiss in the stands at Seattle Mariners games. The crowd hardly even pays attention when fans smooch.

But then last week, a lesbian complained that an usher at Safeco Field asked her to stop kissing her date because it was making another fan uncomfortable.

According to a Mariners press release, they were told they could kiss, but were asked to “Tone it down” not an unreasonable request. The release says the women responded to the simple request like this:

The women refused to modify their behavior, began swearing at the seating hosts and complained that they were being singled out for their sexual orientation,” the club said.

This is one of the women.

This has apparently stirred up OUTRAGE from the gay community, so let’s start with some douche from a group called “Equal Rights Washington”:

Certain individuals have not yet caught up. Those people see a gay or lesbian couple and they stare or say something,” said Josh Friedes of Equal Rights Washington. “This is one of the challenges of being gay. Everyday things can become sources of trauma.”

Trauma? Look you fucking crybabies, has it ever occurred to you selfish assholes, that maybe, just maybe, some people don’t want to have to explain homosexuality to their 8 year-old at a baseball game? You want respect? Have some respect for others.

Homosexuals kissing at a major league baseball game is inappropriate, it’s rude, it’s disruptive and it’s disrespectful, and gay people with any class whatsoever know it. If you can’t be bothered to have even the most basic respect for common civility, for the wishes of the majority of people at a baseball game, then fuck you.

But wait, it still gets even better, when “sex advice” columnist Dan Savage, who writes for one of the Seattle alternative papers has to chime in:

“They (the Mariners) go out of their way to say it’s a quote-unquote family setting,” Savage said. “As a gay season-ticket holder, we’ve never been quite sure what that means exactly. I constantly see people see making out. My son has noticed and asked, `Do they show the ballgame on women’s foreheads?’”

First of all, what the fuck does “gay” have to do with “season ticket holder.” Unless there’s a gay season I don’t know about, you’re either a season ticket holder, or not. Secondly, Mr. Savage knows damn well what a “Family Setting” is, and yes fuckface, there’s a difference between homosexuals and heterosexuals kissing at a major league baseball game and you know it.

You assholes do nothing to further your own cause, or get anyone to feel sympathy for you. It’s precisely this kind of childish, selfish, rude disruptive behavior that puts people off, and then you have the fucking nerve to whine about discrimination.

This is a prime example of why gay marriage is going to be a major problem. Imagine the lawsuits that will be thrown around when a gay married couple wants to make out in ANY “family” setting, and if they are asked to tone it down.

Vegas Construction Site Claims 6th “Victim”

Posted by bmac on June 3, 2008

The MGM’s City Center, is about a mile and a half from my house.

The sixth on-site death occurred Saturday, and the unions are going on strike. Check out the spin from the local CBS affiliate:

Since construction on CityCenter began, six men have died. The latest, 39-year-old Dustin Tarter, a crane worker, was killed Saturday. He is the latest victim who perished on the grounds.

“He is the latest VICTIM.”

Victim? I have sympathy for Dustin Tarters family, but if he was a victim, he was a victim of the unions.

I know a little something about this stuff, because I was in construction, and I worked on a lot of the hotels here in Vegas, and I can tell you this: When you build something of this magnitude (the City Center is HUGE) people are going to die. I don’t care how many safety regulations are in place.

This thing is a gargantuan undertaking. It dwarfs the Bellagio on it’s left, and the Monte Carlo on it’s right.

Let me tell you something else about construction in this town. A 5000 room hotel that in any other city would take 5 years to build, goes from groundbreaking to opening in under 2 here. The problem isn’t safety regulations, it’s working the limited amount of skilled union workers literally to death.

Here would be the usual scenario: Our foreman would come to us at about 2:30 in the afternoon, (we usually got off at 3:00) and inform us that starting today, we’re all working 7 day 12 hour shifts, usually for at least six months, until the hotel is open, so call your wives, and if you don’t like it, leave the job site right now and don’t come back. This is how Union Shops typically treat their Oh-So-Precious workers, and when people start to get hurt, it must be a “safety” problem.

All the OSHA regulations in the world mean exactly dick when you’re on your 180th consecutive twelve hour day, and begin seeing double, talking in gibberish, and praying for death, just so you don’t have to drag your ass out of bed again.

Many guys, (I was never one of them) turn to Meth, just to get through another grueling day, which usually ends badly. If they’re unfortunate enough to have a small accident, they get drug tested, and they’re gone, which means all the other over worked guys have to pick up their slack, and you can begin to see why people start dying on big construction sites.

OSHA then comes in and imposes ridiculous fucking baby rules, that do nothing but slow down the entire process, creating more bullshit for every exhausted guy to deal with, and taking away precious time from an already behind job, that WILL BE completed by the projected opening date NO MATTER WHAT.

The only people to blame here are the greedy fucking asshole unions, who take your money while they work you into an early grave, all while pretending to be on your side, and blaming “Safety Issues” for their slave like working “ethics.”

That’s why I’m no longer in construction, but sadly enough, many of the incredibly skilled union workers are brainwashed into loyalty to these dirtbag motherfuckers that only care about collecting dues from them as they get injured or killed, or lose their families from drug use fueled by being overworked.

Movie Reviews

Posted by bmac on May 27, 2008

In between UFC, drinking and BBQ’s this weekend, I watched a few movies, and damn, was I disappointed. I realized why I almost never rent movies anymore, because they all suck. Have movies always been this bad? And yes, they’re old, and I’m really glad I didn’t see them in a theater.

First up: Cloverfield

It’s all been said about this film, but I would add, that a ptoentially really awesome concept was totally blown. I hate to see such a cool idea turn into something so utterly pointless. Big monster wrecks New York, they nuke it, the end. Does anybody have any imagination anymore? It literally was Godzilla shot with a video camera. Obviously, this entire film was made around a concept for a kick ass trailer.

Well, they succeeded, it was a kick ass trailer.

Speaking of lack of imagination, I had high hopes for:

National Treasure 2: Book of National Treasure One

Fuck, can these guys even try? Another gigantic underground cavern with oil trenches just waiting 200 years for Nic Cage to touch his torch to and light the place up revealing an amazing lost city of gold? A precarious balancing act on another rickety old thing above another super deep hole? Why even go to the expense of re-filming it?

I just don’t get how with a movie this big, that cost as much as this cost, that they couldn’t get a kick ass script. Couldn’t they throw around enough money to get an amazing writer? When they spent 90 billion dollars to start production of this thing, didn’t anyone say, “Ummm……isn’t this a weak version of the same movie with the oil trenches and over the top treasure, but way less believable and corny?” Anyone?

What are they gonna do for National Treasure 3, find Atlantis in the basement of the Washington Monument? They pretty much can’t make one now that wouldn’t be ridiculously asinine. Ruined what could have been a really cool franchise by waaaay over doing it. Once again, Hollywood totally misreads the public. The cool thing about the first National Treasure, was all the clues, not the big stunts, or action sequences.

Finally, Alien Vs Predator-Requiem

Somebody should be killed for making this. The first one was marginally entertaining, but this was an abortion. Again, I just don’t know how something this horrible gets made. There’s nobody to root for in this movie. How does a script this bad get filmed? With good effects and everything? No story, no hero, they kill fucking babies in this nightmare for Gods sake. It was beyond offensive, and I’m pissed that I somehow contributed to it’s existence.

Ok, so if you haven’t seen these, ummm…SPOILER ALERT!! THEY SUCK!!!

Florida Goes Postal On Smokers

Posted by bmac on May 20, 2008

Here we go again, Sarasota County Will not hire smokers.

Citing health care costs.

I just don’t know how to say how dangerous this is.

Citing the burden they place on taxpayers who pay for government workers’ health insurance, Sarasota County officials announced Monday that they no longer will hire smokers.

After the country is free of smokers, all of you that like cheeseburgers better get ready to love delicious ricecakes.

What’s that? you say you like to ride dirt bikes on the weekend? Sorry, too dangerous. Next.

Enjoy a couple drinks after work? Do you have any idea the cost of alcohol related health care? A daily urine test will be required if you want to work here.

Is that a pair of rollerblades in the back seat of your car? Broken bones cost the state plenty buddy.

How dare you drink coffee in the morning, don’t you know how many caffeine related illnesses there are?

Is that a fucking Twinkie in your hand??!!! Security!!!!!!

I’ve said this before, but this Jihad against smokers is the state dipping their feet in the water of fascism, and when smoking is fully banned, they WILL move on to something else. It won’t stop there when they see they can dictate personal behaviour without anyone putting up a fight.

Serial Killer At Yale

Posted by bmac on April 17, 2008

Anything for art.

Art major Aliza Shvarts ’08 wants to make a statement.

Beginning next Tuesday, Shvarts will be displaying her senior art project, a documentation of a nine-month process during which she artificially inseminated herself “as often as possible” while periodically taking abortifacient drugs to induce miscarriages. Her exhibition will feature video recordings of these forced miscarriages as well as preserved collections of the blood from the process.

“I hope it inspires some sort of discourse,”

The only discourse this chick really hopes it inspires, is how brilliant she is. This “exhibit” is all about Ms. Shvarts, not about any “message” Videotaping herself having forced abortions has got to be one of the most disgusting, shameless, immoral, and outright insanely desperate attempts at getting attention I’ve ever seen.

On the plus side, her disgusting attempt at self aggrandising will more likely make people re-think abortion, but not the way she wants it to.

On a purely analytical basis, if I were her teacher, she’d get an F, for completely getting the intended “message” backwards, and more so for making the project completely about herself, even further diluting her retarded pro-choice “art.”

I wonder how much her Ivy League education cost?

“I believe strongly that art should be a medium for politics and ideologies, not just a commodity,” Shvarts said. “I think that I’m creating a project that lives up to the standard of what art is supposed to be.”

Ummm…What does that even mean? Isn’t “art” already all that? Have they taught her at Yale that art has been hijacked as purely a commodity? Since when? Politics and ideology are not addressed in art?

This is a fucking Yale graduate folks.

I stole the picture from Ace.

Update: Could be a hoax, but I don’t really care, as I don’t claim to be a reporter. I guess Hot Air thinks it may be a hoax, no link, y’all know where to find ’em. I guess the reasoning is, it’s just so fucking retarded, it can’t possibly be true, and/or she may have used menstrual blood or even more out there, she’s a Republican.

Okey-Dokey.

Update 2.0 (does anybody care at this point?)

Drudge is calling hoax, although, I wouldn’t exactly define it as “hoax.” The stupid freak just used fake blood and whatnot, and didn’t actually impregnate herself, or actually have miscarriages, but the intent is the same, so that doesn’t qualify as a hoax, at least not to me.

My basic point remains the same, which is, this is politics, not “art.” As an art project, this is a complete failure. If she were a Poli-Sci major, maybe. But art? No way. This is a blatantly political statement far and above any artistic merit whatsoever. Great art, even politically combative art, should have the ability to stand on it’s own outside of the message the artist is trying to convey.

Example: “Imagine” by John Lennon. A retarded, child-like, political song. But it’s got a great melody, and some very nice music, and I can enjoy that part of it, and acknowledge Lennon’s ability as a musician and artist, even if the lyrics are fucking moronic.

Yale can’t teach the difference? YALE? Ivy League baby, Ivy League.

My Take On The Absolut Ad

Posted by bmac on April 4, 2008

6a00d8341d896453ef00e551bb45848834-800wi.jpg

You know, the one thing that has been almost completely ignored this election cycle is immigration? I guess that’s because ALL the candidates are pro-amnesty. Amnesty will happen folks. It’s a done deal, no matter who wins in November. And Absolut knows it.

Illegal immigration is a waaay bigger threat to life in the U.S. than Al-queda. I wish someone would acknowledge this fact, but that would be racist I suppose. This stupid little ad is not that far away from becoming a reality, especially when our own government is actively participating in making it happen.

Republicans want cheap labor, Democrats want votes, it’s that simple. Who’s gonna stop it? All the angry faxes and emails in the world mean nothing when compared to the gargantuan amount of money our politicians get from Big Business constituents, and special interest groups who want to keep the absolut (get it) tsunami of illegals flowing unfettered across our southern border.

Here’s an estimate by, of all people, John McCain, from the Christian Science Monitor, that gives you an idea of how many a tsunami is.

But in a letter to a constituent in 2004, Sen. John McCain (R) of Arizona wrote: “According to the US Border Patrol apprehension statistics, almost four million people crossed our borders illegally in 2002.” Although many are caught and made to leave the country, a significant number try again. No one knows for sure how many succeed, but Senator McCain’s assertion would mean that the number crossing the border and disappearing into the US economy could be much higher than official estimates.

Four million in 2002. If even half of them succeeded, just think about that number for a minute. That’s probably a lot more people than live in your entire city, in one single year. Just think about that. All the people, all the traffic, all the houses, that’s like importing an entire metropolitan city of illegals….every year. There’s no possible way to assimilate 2 million people a year, without draining social services dry.

Until illegal immigration from Mexico is acknowledged as THE number one threat to our survival as America, that map is more than an offensive ad, it’s an all too real blueprint of our future.

And fuck Absolut.

Kid Used As Prop To Prove Mother Is Edgy

Posted by bmac on February 27, 2008

This kid should be taken away by child protective services.

mh.jpg

I see this all the time. And it always disgusts me. The kid was suspended from school after three warnings to the mother to change his haircut.( I believe a single mom). Here’s what she had to say:

Rather than request a hearing to appeal the suspension, Barile said she’ll enroll him at another school. Changing the hairstyle is not an option, she said.

“It’s something that he really likes,” Barile said. “When people hear Mohawk, they think it’s long, it’s spiked, it’s crazy looking, and it’s really not.”

Yeah, changing the style is not an option, and it’s something he really likes. You know what else six year olds like? Eating glue.

Update:

I should add that I don’t really believe child protective services should take away the kid, it’s just a hyperbolic headline that grabs attention, and highlights how ridiculous I think it is for a parent to take a kid out of what would seem to me to be a good school, to put him in a school with lower standards over a fucking haircut.

I know lots of parents that can’t get their kids into these kinds of schools due to money or zoning issues, so obviously, this mother cares more about the haircut she wants her kid to have than having him in a good school.

And I think that’s despicable.

Thank You Sir, May I Have Another?

Posted by bmac on February 8, 2008

What a week. The Republicans finally did it. They finally removed the thorn in their paw, otherwise known as conservativism. It didn’t just work out that way, this was a coup. They saw an opening, and ran for daylight. We have been disenfranchised, pushed out, cast aside.

Do we now reward them by doing our duty and voting for the R? Do we “suck it up” and “get in line,” “hold our nose” for the “lesser of two evils?” Do we give them the green light, and send them the message that we’ll grudgingly take whatever they choose to piss down on us?

Thank you sir, may I have another?

Ok, let’s say we do that. In four years, we’ll have an entire party of McCains. How would that be? Someone on talk radio put it in a term that made sense:

Do you vote for the guy that’s 100% for slavery, or the guy that’s 95% for slavery?

We lost something on Tuesday that we’ll never get back: Choice. One more step toward not having a say in our own country. As conservatives, we no longer have a voice in American politics, and that’s no accident. This was a well orchestrated ousting of conservatism.

I’m so disgusted by Republicans. They’ve been cowardly hiding for the last four years, not standing up for any of the principles we elected them for. Perhaps they had a plan all along, and I said as much last May.

This is it. This is the moment. If there ever was a time for a realistic third party, the time is now, or forever hold your tongue. It’s make or break time in American politics.

If we just put McCain in the White House because he’s 5% better than Hillary, then we accept and deserve the one party system we’re gonna have.

I can’t do it. I will not vote for McCain, and I will not vote Democrat. I’m not going to sell out my country and my soul by inches at a time.

All I can do, is try to convince people that we need a Conservative Party in this country. How do I do that? I have no clue. But I can’t participate in the willful destruction of what I believe is the essence of America: Choice. I won’t.

If Hillary gets elected, so be it. Things are gonna get a lot worse before they get better, and we just have to deal with that. We can sit and watch, or we can do something about it, and voting for McCain ain’t gonna fix anything.

The reality is, for conservatives, there is no “lesser of two evils” here. We lose either way, and losing is losing.

So you guys tell me, is it possible to start a Conservative Party? Can conservatives stop attacking each other over small differences? Can we agree on enough to be a viable third party in this country? And by the way, Libertarians need not apply.

Or do we just accept that this country is on it’s way to becoming France.

Without the culture and stinky cheese.

All the anger and frustration we all feel could be put to a better use than hoping a McCain victory will somehow work out for us in the long run. Because it won’t. And I think we all know that.

Smoking Bans (Again)

Posted by bmac on January 25, 2008

I’ve blogged about this quite a few times, and Ryan over at Pro-Patria blogs about this frequently. Sorry if you’ve heard all this before, but it’s a big issue with me, and not because I’m a smoker. This is important, and while it’s already too late to stop it, we should at least think about what we’ve gotten ourselves into with these bans.

I firmly believe these bans pass, not because people are concerned about second hand smoke, but because it’s their one chance to vote into law, a ban that will stick it to people they don’t like. It’s 100% personal. What other ballot questions really give you the chance to do that? To directly say fuck you, with your vote, to an entire group of people?

For the chance to do that, people are more than happy to give up a right or two in the process. In fact, I’d say they’re so consumed with hate, it never even dawns on them to consider for example, that we can have smoking, and non-smoking restaurants and bars. It never even occurs to them that having a choice is better than not having a choice, no matter how you feel about the choice in question. This also applies to the ban on Trans Fats. Because fat people are also easy targets. Two down. You think it’s gonna stop there?

Do you think for a minute, government hasn’t noticed how easy it was to get voters to happily vote away choices? California has taken the ball and run with it, imposing bans on smoking in apartments and condos, and even on the beach. Now they’re trying to get control of homeowners thermostats. (It was killed…..for now)

What if it was the opposite? What if every bar and restaurant had to allow smoking? How would you feel about that? Because there’s no difference.

smoking.jpg

I live in Las Vegas. Vegas has an unbelivable amount of bars. Not on the Strip, but local bars. There’s one on just about every corner. I’ve never been to a city with more bars, there must be several hundred, easy, in a relatively small valley. There are so many bars because they make thier money on gaming. If you can’t get a gaming license, don’t open a bar in Vegas. The drinks and food are loss leaders for the bars here.

I’m not talking about the big clubs or the casino’s, these are mostly locally owned and operated small businesses. In 06, a smoking ban appeared on the ballot, a smoking ban for bars that serve food, even if that food is a microwaved basket of fries. All the bars serve some kind of food. Of course the ban passed.

The result? Instead of fighting a costly legal battle, most of the bars closed the restaurant portion ot their establishment, as gamblers really like to smoke while they lose the rent money, which means a lot of people lost their jobs, and we now have more drunk drivers on the road, because people can’t chase that shot of tequila with a greasy cheeseburger, the way God intended.

Oh, and we lost one more choice.

Republican Party? What Republican Party?

Posted by bmac on January 9, 2008

Is the Republican Party dead? When Republicans are willing to cast a vote for Barack Obama in an election year that should have been an easy coast to victory, I’d say yes. The staggering incompetence of the RNC to unite a base that is frankly, pretty easy to unite, just boggles my mind.

Guns, God, Borders, National Security. Pretty simple. How have they managed to fuck this up so bad? How do we fix it? Is it fixable? I get the distinct impression Republican politicians DO NOT CARE that their base is in disarray. Most sitting Senators and Congressman aren’t going anywhere for the next four years, so maybe that’s it. They just don’t seem to fear losing seats.

Maybe they want to lose, and have a Dem President take us to CarterLand so they can ride in on a white horse in 2012 and save us. What a weird election year, both parties are trying to lose. Dems put up unelectable candidates, and Republicans put up base splitting candidates that are so bad, we’re willing to sleep with the enemy. The most powerful job in the world is up for grabs and nobody wants it. Well, Hillary wants it, but she’ll never get it.

While both parties go out of their way to lose the Presidency, either way, we all lose. If a Dem gets the Hot Potato, we’ll surely go into a four year nightmare of Carter-like proportions. If a Repub gets it, we can kiss the borders goodbye, and the already on-the-ropes party will be utterly destroyed by four more years of MSM and Dem whining, even though whoever the winner is will be even more liberal than Bush, and most of us will be so fed up with pseudo Republicans that I see a mass ship-jumping to Independent.

Basically, we are all gonna be sacrificed for the next four years on the altar of “look how bad they are.” My opinion is, nobody really wants the first post-Bush Presidency, and we’re going to pay the price.

Maybe I’m wrong, and all our politicians have simply become such elitists, that they’re completely disengaged with the American people, and what they want, and that goes for both parties. Or, the Republican Party has decided to use the next four years to rebuild, at our expense of course.

I just don’t know anymore.
