A Fine Line Between Stupid And Clever

An Alternate Scenario

Posted by bmac on May 6, 2008

This is just one of the many reasons I’m probably sitting this election out. We haven’t even got a Dem nominee yet and this guy has pissed me off absolutely infuriated me, so many times I’ve lost count.

I know conservatives are terrified of a Dem win this year, but before you get too worried, consider this:

McCain will be a disaster. He will piss off Republicans constantly, Democrats will attack him, even though he’s on their side, and the press will make him the new Bush. He’ll throw ridiculous temper tantrums, and say the most ignorant shit you can imagine, on a daily basis. He’s a moderate, which means he believes in nothing. He doesn’t even know what he is, and nobody wants to follow a guy that has no direction. He’ll be more of a Steward than a President.

He’s going to be a band-aid on the gushing jugular of the Republican party. Sure, we’ll get a President with an “R” by his name, but by the time he leaves the smoking wreckage of his only term, he’ll have done so much damage to what’s left of the party, he’ll guarantee a full blown Dem sweep in every election for the next twenty years. McCain is the lynch-pin in the grenade of destruction of the Republican party.

If by some miracle Obama or Hillary actually get elected, (which BTW, I believe to be impossible) consider this:

They are not gonna be able to end the Iraq conflict with the simple wave of a capitulating hand. Things will most likely stay the same there for the most part. Past that, the differences between either of them and McCain are negligible, and they will be ineffective at getting their most socialist agenda’s off the table. They will have only one term, if they don’t get impeached for complete incompetence.

Look, the next four years are gonna suck no matter what. A Dem will do a massive amount of damage, but it will be short term damage. McCain will do long term damage. A Republican President (McCain) now, will mean a Democrat everything later. McCain is the Anti-Christ Republican that will bring the Apocalypse to the party.

We’ve survived Democratic Presidents before, we can again, and I just can’t get behind this jackass because he has an imaginary “R” in front of his name. Plus, a Dem getting elected could finally slap a little sense into the MIA Republicans, and lead to another Repub comeback. McCain getting elected will make them continue to be useless, over confident choads, who want to rid the party of conservatives.

I’d rather let the Dems dig their own grave, than help McCain dig ours.

That’s my opinion anyway, now I’m gonna go look for a thoughtful story about boobs.

Thank you! This is an idea I hammer every chance I get.

There’s no such thing as a “moderate” Republican (or Democrat, for that matter). You either believe in the underlying principles of your party’s platform, or you approach ideas like a giant all-you-can-eat buffet.

Yep, and McCain is the 500 lb tourist in the Hawaiian shirt gobbling up all the mystery meat.

The conservative movement obviously needs some time off to re-group after Bush’s half-assed conservatism. Eight years of “compassionate conservatism” has unquestionably harmed the brand.

The movement does NOT need another half-assed conservative like McCain and frankly, I’m not sure it would survive it. So my heart will not break if McCain loses.

I just hope that we can maintain enough of a Congressional presence to keep bad-idea legislation gridlocked. That’s the reason that everyone still needs to vote even if they don’t vote the top of the ticket.

I will probably still vote for McCain but should he lose, the enormous positive will be that conservatives can take the break to figure out who’s going to be the standard-bearer for us in the future.

And we can sit back and enjoy the spectacle of Hillary or Obama pissing off the libtards by back-pedaling on all the promises they made to those crybabies.

He [McCain] smells bad. I’m not sure I’m ready for four years of Obama or Clinton. What worries me most is the thought of either Democrat being able to make two or more appointments to the Supreme Court. For decades this country would suffer a horrible deviation from its founding fathers’ intentions regarding personal liberties and the less intrusive role of the federal government in the lives of citizens.

A strong cast of conservative Republican candidates for the House and Senate need to be elected and/or returned to office. Moderates of either party can just go and bite their own cocks. Fuck them.

Now if Obama gets the nod and is going to get his ass kicked, then I could see making a protest vote like None of the Above, who happens to be a candidate I can really support, and ignoring McCain who is as trustworthy to Republican principles as Bill Clinton is to his marriage vows.

Let’s face it, the Republican Party is dead. We’re gonna have to eat shit for awhile until some kind of grass roots conservative movement actually gets serious.

Let’s just say I’m not holding my breath.

Until then, I’m not voting for anyone for the sole reason they put an R before their name.

If you don’t reflect my beliefs AT ALL, I won’t participate in putting you in power, it’s that simple.

Sorry Bmac and Airdale…I’m already “King of the World”. I can create a Benign Dictator of the World cabinet position if you like since I don’t really like to run things…I just like edicts.

BTW Bmac, I used to be a “moderate”. Until I got old enough and wise enough to figure out that “moderate” was a code word for “pussy”.

Don’t feel bad Nigel, I used to be a liberal.
Until I also got old enough and wise enough to figure out that “Liberal” is a code word for…..well it’s also a code word for pussy.

The Republican Party has lost it’s conservative vision,if it really ever had it. If you get down to it the GOP really only had a flourish of conservatism and that was with Reagan.Even then you have to think it was more the coat tails effect that allowed some quality conservatism to occur on the congressional front.
The GOP is destined to have it’s full measure of ass handed to it.I agree that under that circumstance the party would be then forced to figure out where it is and where it needs to go.
I personally believe a centrist McCain is better than Obama.

    That’s a great line.

Is McCain better than Obama? Of course, but we have to think big picture here. Obama’s Presidency will be a clusterfuck that will make Carters reign look like a party. He will destroy the Dems, and he’ll do it fast, and open the door wide for a GOP that will most certainly go for a more conservative approach.

A McCain win will wipe out the GOP for at least the rest of our lifetimes.

So, in the meantime, we suck it up, and hope Obama wins. That’s my feeling anyway.

I am not putting a commie in charge of our military. Period. Full stop. Plus, the next President will pick two Supreme Court justices. McCain it is, and Obama it is not.

    I completely understand Stormy.

Here’s the way I look at it. Commie now for four years, or commie later for the next 30.
